So, how does it act with DS4Windows? Well, it seems to work at first. It vaguely responds to input in this state, for example, pushing left and right on the stick correlates to moving it up and down while it's still spazzing out, but it doesn't really work, of course. A good example of this is when I tried using input overlay in OBS, where it picks up all the mashing. Without any kind of program deciphering the input, it comes in as random mashing even when the controller is sitting still on the table. I recently tried fully unpairing it from my switch to see if that had any effect, but it didn't seem to. I seem to remember it sometimes working with these lights off, but it's weird behavior nonetheless.

  • It often times won't "stay connected." I put that in quotes because sometimes the blue light will be on, but the lights at the bottom aren't, they blink when I hit a button, but turn off again as if it failed to find something to connect to.
  • For example, steam generally works but is sometimes weird with it, betterjoyforcemu only ever worked on the old version but still had problems if I remember correctly, proconXinput worked for a long, and still does, time but a newer version of pj64 didn't like it, and DS4Windows has it's own problems which I'll go into detail on in a second.įirst, I want to mention for context two problems I see with it every time I end up back in the rabbit hole trying to get this working.

My computer, and many programs just do not like the switch pro wired. This is a recurring problem I've had for ages.
